FEBRUARY 3, 2010 Noon - 1 PM Steinway Piano Gallery of Milwaukee He has performed with legends Bob Hope and Cab Calloway. For six years he was the Associate Music Director at Elmbrook Church, arranging music for the praise teams and the church orchestra. An accomplished composer and arranger, he has been commissioned to provide several arrangements for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. His published orchestrations have been performed by many orchestras including the Indianapolis Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, Minneapolis Symphony and the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington D.C.. Recently he collaborated with the Milwaukee Symphony to create symphonic arrangements to play along with the alternative rock band “the gufs” for a series of outdoor concerts. Other arranging clients include the Fireside Theatre, for which he scores the music when they use a live pit orchestra. Larry also arranges for print publication through the Hal Leonard Corporation. He has hundreds of arrangements in publication for either orchestra or piano. In the recording studio, Larry has produced and played on dozens of projects both for various artists and for Hal Leonard. His work has also been used on television to promote shows including Dateline, Days of Our Lives, ER, Fear Factor, Late Night, Law and Order, Scrubs and Saturday Night Live. His hobbies include bicycle racing, speed skating and skiing. Larry can’t name a single favorite musician but his favorite pianist is Vladamir Horiowitz. His favorite producer is David Foster. His favorite keyboard player is Dave Grusin. Larry plays various electronic keyboards but would always rather be playing a grand piano. |
